Small but a lot of detail! Has a long, large round neck that is big compared to the size of the Bear. Interestingly, the Bear’s mouth has vertical lines all around it depicting teeth. This is just one of the many features that makes this pot so desirable. It does have a small round probe hole in the neck that in no way detracts from this really neat effigy! SOLID! Red, White and Black wide neck vessel. Has four alternating Red and White panels around the pot spaced with Black. Each panel has a round circle in it with a design inside that design. Really a fine vessel! A well made, good looking pot. Has a small probe hole in it and a spot of old wear on the rim, but in otherwise excellent and SOLID condition. Sits on a small pedestal base. Has two wide thin lug handles with a Bird Effigy perched on one of the handles.
The other handle probably had a similar Bird Effigy originally. The pot has a pie crust rim. The Bowl has overall wear but is a very nice artifact and large. (View additional photos) |
