Outstanding features on a seated human effigy.  This piece was found in Mississippi County, Arkansas in the 1970’s .  The piece has an exceptionally rare overall red finish with unique detail seldom seen on Mississippian pottery.  Restoration to face of vessel.  This is a museum quality piece. A very fine and rare Quapaw red and white effigy vessel representing a turtle.  This piece was found at the Kent site near the Temple mound in Lee County, Arkansas.  Restoration to body of vessel.  This may be the nicest Quapaw Turtle ever found and is a museum quality piece.
